A. ID Vault can be installed on up to five Touch or iPhone devices. Q.How do I renew my ID Vault for iPhone subscription?
A. Unlike the ID Vault desktop software, ID Vault for iPhone is not a subscription service. It is a one-time purchase and can be used so long as your device is operational. Q.What differentiates ID Vault from other password manager applications?
A. ID Vault is the only online password manager for the iPhone to offer true single-tap log in for all your online accounts. Adding your online accounts is simplified using the built in Safari browser. Just tap the add button and log in like you normally do. Your account will be automatically saved by ID Vault. Next time you want to log in, just tap on the account name in the list and ID Vault signs you in automatically! ID Vault has 2 available layers of protection - a 4 digit PIN and an optional password for additional security. You can store all account related information in ID Vault such as secret questions, credit card information and notes all in one secure place on your iPhone. Q.How does the security work? Just how secure am I?
A. All of your confidential information is encrypted using AES 256 bit encryption. AES is the federal government standard and the 256 bit randomly generated key provides the strongest available key size to provide maximum protection against "brute-force attacks". In fact, a device that could check a billion billion AES keys per second would require about 3×1051 years to try all of the potential password combinations! ID Vault provides an even greater level of protection by adding a 2nd level of data encryption by protecting these AES data encryption keys with another encryption key. For even greater protection, each time you enter your PIN or Password, ID Vault runs it through a hash algorithm resulting in a unique value which cannot be reversed engineered by examining the output stored in ID Vault. All of your information is stored locally on your iPhone or Touch leaving you in complete control of your data. Your data is never sent or stored on servers. Many other password manager applications store your data on company servers opening you up to potential threats and problems. With ID Vault, only you have access to your information. We recommend that you PIN protect your iPhone for additional security. Q.Can I use the ID Vault application offline if I can't connect to the internet?
A. You can view your account list and password/credential information, but you must have an internet connection in order to log in to your accounts. |
