Browser Settings

ID Vault is ONLY compatible with Internet Explorer version 6 or later, and Mozilla FireFox version 3.5.
The following settings apply to either browser:

1. In the "Tools" menu of the browser, look for "Add Ons," or "Manage Add-Ons," and make sure that "GuardID.MSIEBrowser.BHO" is listed AND is enabled. To Enable an Add-On, select it, and click "Enable." Close the browser, re-open it, and check to ensure the change has been made.
2. In the Internet Options control panel, under the "General" tab, select Browsing History and Settings, and under "Temporary Internet Files," click, "Every time I visit the webpage."
3. Before leaving the Internet Options control panel, click "Delete," and make sure the option for "Temporary Internet files" is checked. Make sure that all other options, including Cookies, is unchecked. Click "Delete" to remove the temporary internet files - you should remove your temporary internet files periodically to free up storage space, and clear the cache of stored pages in case a bad page (with a page error) has been saved in these files.

To change your default browser TO Internet Explorer:

1. Go to the Internet Options control panel.
2. Select the "Programs" tab
3. Click "Make default" under "Default web browser,"
4. Click "Apply."

To change your defult browser TO Mozilla Firefox

1. Launch Firefox - you will be alerted that it is not the default browser, and will ask if you wish to make it the default.
2. Select, "Yes," to Enable the browser as the default.
