If a web site is not in the ID Vault list of trusted sites, you will not be prompted to add that site to the ID Vault. However, most accounts can still be added as "Other" accounts. An "Other" account is not protected by the ID Vault Secure View browser, but is still protected from internet hackers and identity theft through our PIN validation service.

You can create an account for one of these sites by following these steps:

  1. Navigate to the site;
  2. Log-on to the site as normal;
  3. When prompted, add the site to the ID Vault;

Note - It may be necessary to find a secondary sign in page to add the account to your ID Vault. Many web sites will have a sign in or log in field in plain site, but for the ID Vault account to be created correctly, it should be done as if you are signing into the account for the first time. For this reason, if the site has a "new user" log in area, or an area for account creation, that is where you need to log in. This is usually the "master" sign in area, and if you enter your username and password information there, when you hit "enter," or "submit," you should be prompted to add the account to the ID Vault.

Never Ask List
When you are prompted by the ID Vault to add an account, one of the options is "never." If you choose that option, that web site is listed in a "Never Ask List," and you will not be prompted to add that account to the ID Vault accounts as long as it is in that list. If you are not prompted to add an account, check this list to see if it is listed, and if it is, remove it from that list. To verify if a site is in the "Never Ask List,"

  1. Click on the ID icon;
  2. Select the "ID Vault Control Center,"
  3. Enter your PIN;
  4. Click on "Options," in the left menu;
  5. Select "Modify My 'Never Ask' List Of Websites."

If the website domain name is listed, remove it from the list and sign into the website again. When prompted, choose to add it to your ID Vault list of accounts.
