ID Vault 5.1 Delivers Fastest, Easiest Consumer Protection Against Online Identity Theft

SAN MATEO, Calif., June 10, 2009 – White Sky, Inc., makers of the award-winning ID Vault identity protection software, today unveiled ID Vault 5.1, the most effective solution available for protecting consumers against identity fraud while they bank, invest and shop online.
The new version delivers support for Internet Explorer 8 and a series of dramatic performance improvements. In addition, ID Vault 5.1 has been fully tested on Windows 7 and will be bundled with several PC OEMs when they launch Windows 7 computers and laptops in the Fall.
The enhancements in version 5.1 include an optimized browser plug-in for use with IE, and enhanced performance for ID Vault’s SecureView security browser. Together, these enhancements allow ID Vault users to securely log on to online accounts twice as fast as previous versions of ID Vault and up to four times faster than standard or proprietary browsers.

Like its predecessor, ID Vault 5.1 eliminates exposure to online fraud through its end-to-end, all-the-time, every-time protection. The product’s enhanced security is built on a fully integrated, easy-to-use, three tier protection architecture that no other product can match:
1) ID Vault stores all account user names and passwords in a highly encrypted, secure software vault on the PC.This data is accessible only via a user-defined PIN, which is authenticated by White Sky servers, providing true two-factor authenication. ID Vault automates the sign-in procedure, protecting consumers from Trojan, keylogging, screen scraping and other attacks.
2) White Sky’s proprietary ID Vault Trusted Network continually monitors a “white list” of over 8,000 trusted and verified financial and e-commerce web sites.When consumers open a site using ID Vault,they cannot be redirected nor have credentials submitted to fraudulent sites.
3) ID Vault’s SecureView™ safety browser is used to open the financial or shopping site, protecting against malicious plug-ins and other browser-based threats. SecureView provides a completely safe connection for consumers’ online transactions.

ID Vault 5.1 also incorporates key features from White Sky’s unique Online Identity Theft Risk Calculator to further safeguard users’ secure information. ID Vault 5.1 scans users’ computers for personal information, including user names, passwords and financial site visits - data that can potentially be used by cybercriminals to access online accounts and steal money - and moves it into ID Vault for secure storage.
