Guard ID Systems Names Customer Acquisition and Retention Expert to Board of Advisors
SAN MATEO, Calif. – February 12, 2008 – Guard ID Systems, Inc., the pioneer of hardware-based identity theft protection for consumer online transactions, today announced that former McAfee marketing executive and customer acquisition and retention expert Pankaj Srivastava has joined its board of advisors.
"Pankaj has proven success in developing world-class customer acquisition and retention programs for both e-commerce and consumer Internet security businesses,” said Jerry Thompson, CEO of Guard ID Systems. “His experience and insights in driving growth and retention for consumer subscription businesses will be extremely valuable as we take Guard ID to the next level.”
“Guard ID has attracted and built a solid customer base with its momentum as the first provider of hardware-based identity theft protection for consumers,” said Srivastava. “I’m looking forward to working with Jerry and the Guard ID team to further accelerate subscription growth and increase customer retention rates.”
Srivastava was most recently vice president of acquisition and retention marketing at McAfee, where he was responsible for building its global consumer business. During his time at McAfee, the global customer base grew from 1.1 million to over 22 million customers within five years. Srivastava also grew partner-driven customer acquisition by developing high-profile partnerships with Dell, Comcast and AOL. He also built McAfee’s customer loyalty program that delivered a customer retention rate of 80 percent.
Prior to McAfee, Srivastava was director of customer loyalty at BlueLight.com, a subsidiary of Kmart Corporation, where he built and managed the BlueLight Rewards program, which eventually generated 65 percent of company revenues. Previously, Srivastava held various marketing positions at online retailers including Chipshot.com, a custom golf club retailer, and Internet Shopping Network, a subsidiary of USA Networks, Inc.
Srivastava graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology in India. He holds an MBA with an emphasis in Marketing and Finance from Iowa State University.
